Whereas some suburbs lack dimension and culture, Southlake is dynamic and welcoming, with no limit to the restaurants, shops, and entertainment offered. The town’s pioneering spirit lives on today through its small businesses. As a suburban oasis, this little town in Texas has created the perfect balance of thriving infrastructure and quaint community.

 

Residents of Southlake have immense pride in this darling town for its quaint elegance and community strength. Known for its friendly environment, it is no wonder neighbors and friends come together regularly to mingle. Quality is at the heart of the town, ensuring that the real estate, public buildings, parks, and school system are of the highest caliber (the latter is of particular pride to Southlake).

School spirit radiates through the town, with every resident invested in the students, providing unending support by attending games, fundraising events, rallies, and concerts. According to those in the district, “Everyone is a Dragon,” an apt summary of the town’s inclusive spirit of fun and neighborhood pride.

 

Feedstore BBQ is, in a word, iconic. Any resident of Southlake will confirm Feedstore BBQ is more than just another barbeque restaurant but a local institution beloved for years. In true Texas fashion, fall-off-the-bone barbeque is served, such as the Feedstore’s famous St. Louis-style pork ribs, traditional catfish, and sliced brisket.

Through hand-crafted cocktails, and an elevated take on familiar comfort food, Del Frisco’s Grille has created a sophisticated chophouse, perfect for a night out. Located in the Town Square, residents can pop in for lunch or dinner, a crisp cocktail, and a spectacular meal after shopping or before a night on the town.

Southlake may be a quaint southern suburb, but it has all the modern luxuries necessary for an affluent neighborhood. An Apple store in the Town Square and stores like Anthropologie provide chic bohemian furniture, clothing, and housewares.

What about those who want to apply the gourmet shopping experience to the grocery store? Central Market is an upscale grocery store with various luxury products. Located in the Shops of Southlake, each store department brings its a-game.

Mi Cocina is a modern take on Tex-Mex classics. An upscale restaurant that utilizes only the best ingredients, MiCocina offers flavorful dishes in a welcoming environment. Partnering with local HOAs, MiCocina can cater neighborhood block parties with their food truck, allowing residents to enjoy their dishes.

 

Home for the Holidays is a Christmas event captivating residents of all ages. Hosted in front of Southlake’s Town Hall, locals gather for holiday fun. Live music is performed, including carols sung by the school choir. Among other delights, carriage rides, ornament making, and cookie decorating are available. The night is capped off with a one-minute fireworks show.

For Southlake residents, falling leaves mean one thing: the approach of Oktoberfest. Over the weekend, an estimated 100,000 people flock to take part in craft German beers and food. Live music and entertainment are offered, with a designated kid’s zone for little ones.
 
Art in the Square is a spring favorite for Southlake residents. Artists from across the area collect to submit and sell their work for the annual juried art festival. Multiple art mediums, from ceramics to painting, embodying elite craftsmanship and spectacular skill, are sold. Residents can stroll among the dozens of booths to buy or simply enjoy.

It would only be the Fourth of July with a spectacular neighborhood bash. Southlake pulls out all the stops for Stars and Stripes, an annual celebration bringing neighbors and friends together in a community event. Live music, entertainment, and treats are enjoyed, leading to an awe-inducing fireworks show.

Southlake contains its fair share of natural beauty. Lush greenery and pristine landscaping combine in North Park and Bob Jones Park. Both offer open spaces perfect for community games and meticulous playgrounds for little ones to love.
